We’re looking for a wonderful addition to our new Data Operations team! Working closely with product managers, data engineers and other technology teams, the DataOps Analytics Manager will oversee a team that transforms information about our apps and technologies into usable information for the business. Working with a variety of tools (Power BI, SSMS, Azure Data Factory, Snaplogic and SSIS), this team works to provide data-driven strategies to department and project heads that have the potential to level up Aya's technology development. 

The team needs a strong leader to help shape what are the gaps in our existing reporting and where we can stretch. This role is a part of a small, nimble, team working in a fast-paced environment for a great company where your opinion and experience matters. We have grown seemingly exponentially in the last couple of years and now have a need to dedicate a significant resource to these efforts.

Responsibilities: 

  • Technology is constantly changing, so we need a quick and innovative manager to partner with the technology team and take our analytics to the next level. Using data from the applications and third-party resources, they will suggest data-driven strategies that will drive technology developments and tuning.  
  • Coordinate with the ETL team to load data from independent third parties to help refine decision-making models and predictions.   
  • Be a resource for what other data sources should be added to the data lake and how that information will help the technology team get bigger, faster and better.   
  • Work with the team to provide data visualizations that will show them how the applications are being used and provide strategies for increasing use and functionality.  
  • Using PowerBI, develop reports, visualizations, and custom extracts for the technology team to monitor the effectiveness of the strategies provided.  
  • Understand database relationships and interconnections among data sources.  
  • Develop work plans, timelines and manage workflows to meet timeframes.  
  • Explore the data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior management experience.  
  • Bachelor's degree required.  
  • Master’s degree preferred.  
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Python or R required.  
  • Advanced PowerBI experience, or similar data visualization tool. 
  • Experience managing large projects. 
  • Experience working with relational databases. 
  • Experience with data administration, design, and architecture. 
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts, thought leadership and the business value of solutions in a clear and understandable way.

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to an annual salary of $130,000 to $150,000.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
