YOUR MISSION:

As the Team Lead for Solution Engineering in EMEA, you’ll apply your deep technical expertise to guide stakeholders through complex integrations and service implementations. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of (Senior) Solution Engineerings, ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects while shaping the team’s structure and strategic direction. You’ll be responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy, optimizing workflows, and ensuring scalable solutions. Reporting directly to the Head of Implementation, you’ll drive cross-functional collaboration, aligning with engineering, product, and customer success teams to deliver best-in-class solutions across the region.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled Solution Engineerings, guiding them in strategic project planning, fostering knowledge sharing, and supporting their personal and professional development, while providing deep insights into systems integration and architecture.
  • Drive team growth and development by creating a culture of continuous learning. Foster opportunities for your team to advance their skills in programming and scripting, particularly in languages such as TypeScript, Javascript and Python. Support them in developing expertise in APIs, web services, and microservices, crucial for customizing and automating integration processes.
  • Provide technical leadership by helping Solution Engineerings navigate complex project challenges and resolve technical issues. Encourage analytical and problem-solving abilities, ensuring the team can diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for maximum performance, while applying logical reasoning to overcome integration challenges.
  • Guide the team through technical expertise in applying software architecture principles, authentication, and transfer protocols to design scalable, secure systems. You also explain technical concepts like Authentication Protocols, API Design, Messaging Patterns, Microservices, Containers, and Cloud Computing.  
  • Cross-functional Enablement through partnering with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and a superior customer experience. Empower the team to collaborate effectively, gathering requirements, documenting integration processes, and maintaining clear communication with all parties involved.
  • Department development by overseeing and managing strategic projects, constantly evaluating and improving existing practices to drive innovation. Leverage collaboration skills to ensure all parties are aligned on objectives and outcomes, ensuring successful completion of integration projects.

Our Tech stack:

TypeScript, Microsoft Azure Cloud (e.g. Azure Function Apps, Azure Cosmos DB), JavaScript, Python, PowerBI/Kibana

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 2 year track record of successfully leading and mentoring technical teams, fostering a culture of growth, knowledge-sharing, and continuous development.
  • Technical Expertise: A strong background in integration engineering, with proven experience in complex system integrations, service implementations, observability best practices, and working with modern tech stacks such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and Microsoft Azure Cloud (e.g., Azure Function Apps, Azure Cosmos DB).. Experience in data visualization tools like PowerBI/Kibana is a plus.
  • Client Management Skills: Strong background of working with Enterprise-level customers, adeptly navigating and addressing their complex needs
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to define and execute technical strategies, streamline workflows, and implement scalable, efficient processes that contribute to operational excellence.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to help your team navigate complex challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams, ensuring seamless service delivery and a superior customer experience.
  • Project Management Acumen: Capability to manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously, while constantly seeking opportunities to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and drive innovation.
  • Familiarity with Conversational AI: Knowledge of Conversational AI technologies, including integrating or designing AI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, or natural language processing solutions.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English is essential, with a proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both languages

Bonus points if you also bring the following to the table:

  • SIP and VoIP-telephony or REST-API
  • Basic knowledge of conversational AI and NLU-related ML
