This role will be based in Sunnyvale, New York, Chicago, or San Francisco.

The Senior Associate, Analytics is the steward of global operational analytics and performance metrics across the LinkedIn Talent Solutions (LTS) and LinkedIn Sales Solutions (LSS) businesses.  You will learn the business inside-out, develop roadmaps, test & learn, and drive outcomes for our global customers. You will lead engagements with business leaders, Marketing, Data Science, Engineering, and Business Operations teams in order to identify opportunities, design, and deliver results. Our solutions aim to provide the right information at the right time to enable the best outcomes.   

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills to be able to develop, maintain, and improve current data assets. The candidate should also have strong analytical skills and be adept at deriving, distilling and articulating actionable business insights from large amounts of data.  Using strong communication skills, the Senior Associate, Analytics will effectively collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, accomplishing tasks of high complexity and scope, and have the ability to perform professionally in a challenging and extremely fast-paced environment. The candidate will align more closely with either Business Intelligence or Data Foundations.

The Senior Associate, Analytics will contribute to building and maintaining the data environment, thus enabling solutions in Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Sales Operations. This role is ideal for those passionate about creating and enhancing robust data systems supporting LinkedIn’s global operational analytics, with a focus on skills including SQL, Spark, and common scripting languages like Python. The work in this role will involve complex analytics initiatives across LTS and LSS, ensuring a stable and scalable foundation for every data-driven endeavor. The role extends beyond infrastructure, emphasizing close collaboration with business leaders, Data Science, Engineering, and Business Operations teams to ensure project success and efficient, effective delivery of data insights at the right moments.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Leverage LinkedIn’s unique data to create innovative analyses & dashboards. 

  • Write SQL/Python queries to extract necessary data, analyze the results to generate actionable insights and present the findings either in Tableau, Excel or PowerPoint.

  • Develop analytics dashboards and other scaled visualizations to inform decision making business-wide.

  • Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, engineering and data teams to provide analysis, reporting and tools that inform key stakeholders.

  • Build cross-functional relationships and partner effectively with other teams to drive project success.

  • Make business recommendations, conveying findings at multiple levels including managers and peers through visual displays of quantitative information. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or related practical experience

  • 3+ years of experience in data-driven roles

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL, analyzing and presenting data

  • 2+ years of experience with Excel

  • 1+ years of experience with PowerPoint

  • Experience with Python

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Demonstrated record of intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic and drive for success

  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a rapidly changing industry

  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills

  • Experience presenting data or other technical concepts to stakeholders; ability to clearly communicate work to varying audiences

  • Proven experience managing a large group of stakeholders and driving global projects independently

  • Experience with CRM systems, including Salesforce and Dynamics 365

  • Experience with Power BI and Tableau

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  

The pay range for this role is $106,000 - $174,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
