We are seeking a Data Scientist with a true passion for fantasy sports and sports betting. We want someone to fully own exciting, high-visibility projects like our fantasy sports projections models and recommendation algorithms. You’ll be empowered to rebuild our systems from the ground-up if necessary and have access to plenty of data to do it.

Responsibilities

  • Improve our fantasy sports projections for every sport we cover. This includes both short-term and long-term projection systems. 
  • Start a testing program to create a feedback loop so we can continuously improve our data and predictions.
  • Build recommendation algorithms for a variety of fantasy sports and betting tools.
  • Continuously integrate new data that we acquire into new and established RotoWire products.

Requirements 

  • Ability to design and create new models / algorithms on your own.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL.
  • Experience in fantasy sports or sports betting analytics is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with large datasets, including APIs and real-time sports data feeds.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques specific to sports outcomes.
  • A passion for major sports like NFL, NBA, and MLB, but also willing to work on others as well.
