Lead Developer, Generative AI Navigator (GAIN) Platform

About the role:

As a Lead Developer, you will oversee the development lifecycle of the Generative AI platform, from conception to deployment.Your vast experience will guide the strategic direction of platform development and ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that align with Novartis’ business goals.

 

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

• Lead the planning and architecture of new features and optimizations for the Generative AI platform.

• Supervise a team of developers, setting clear goals and managing project timelines.

• Ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices.

• Drive the integration of advanced technologies and methodologies into the development process.

• Act as a key stakeholder in strategic planning sessions.

• Responsible for detailed design, development and delivery of system solutions for a specific business or technology area, in alignment defined solution architecture and create the detailed process designs necessary to operate the software/service on a day-to-day basis.

• Take accountability for delivery of projects / use cases for a specific business or technology area -Ensure designs produced adhere to architectural roadmap and support the development, execution and operations of software/service; Ensure peer review and sign off detailed designs by business.

• Ensure that detailed designs adhere to solution architecture design (i.e. high level conceptual design) and are traceable to functional as well as non-functional requirements in functional specification -Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing new solutions and services -Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security & Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scope -Individual contributor with responsibility for high to medium sized complexity of projects -Skilled in a specific technology areas / business focus

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in related area.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale software projects.

• Expertise in Python, react (good to have), NodeJS (good to have), and enterprise-level full-stack development.

• Influencing without authority and People Leadership.

• Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix.

• Project Management & Collaborating across boundaries.
