INTERN MNAND Engineer

In support of Micron MNAND Electrical Characterization activities, we are offering an internship opportunity in a multi-disciplinary team, engaged in the system characterization of Managed NAND devices in mobile and automotive ecosystems. The candidate will work on the analysis of power supply noise induction and effect at device level. The work may be partially integrated into an experimental thesis. 

Due to the practical nature of the planned activities, which will require to use laboratory equipment to perform measurements,  we require on-site presence at Micron premises in  Vimercate (MB). 

Educational Objectives  
Training an engineer with a strong experimental vocation, that is autonomous in the analysis of complex problems and has a strong propensity for problem solving. 

Technical Skills to be Acquired 
•    Learning of methodologies for power supply noise injection and profiling current consumption in embedded devices 
•    Achieving autonomy in the use of an oscilloscope and testing infrastructure for UFS technologies 
•    Obtaining a deep knowledge of the architecture of a managed NAND in its hardware and software aspects 
•    Refinement of programming skills with Python and C99 programming languages 
•    Learning of data analysis skills for feature extraction with traditional statistical or Machine Learning techniques 
 

Skills to be Acquired 
•    Ability to work in an international team 
•    Refinement of communication skills in technical English 
•    Ability to follow multiple parallel activities, and to manage priorities 
•    Ability to present one’s work effectively to diverse audiences 

Education

Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics (preferred), Computer Science or Telecommunication
