Health & Life Claims Data Analyst

Summary:

Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to support mainly the claims function, and other operational business functions, where applicable. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, create detailed reports, and present actionable recommendations based on your analyses.

Key Responsibility:

• Data Collection and Management:
  • Gather and organize health & life claims data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop, curate and maintain databases.
• Data Analysis:
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Use statistical methods and data modeling techniques to forecast outcomes and support decision-making.
• Reporting and Visualization:
  • Create and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting tools to streamline data access and reporting processes.
• Collaboration:
  • Work with different departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data integrity and system efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Recommend and implement improvements to data collection and analysis processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a business related field.
• Experience:
  • Experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role, especially in support of business functions.
  • Proven experience and results with data analysis, in a business setting.
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software will be a bonus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Ability to apply business acumen for actionable analyses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
