SAP HANA Cloud Database is a global leader in high-performance mission-critical enterprise database systems and keeps growing as a core platform for enterprise data management and analytics. HANA Database Kernel Team is one of the core and privileged teams for SAP HANA Cloud Database development, covering a wide spectrum of technology components. It includes the core data integration features such as federation and replication, database migration service and cloud data export/import, workload management, client/server session management, metadata management, connectivity, elastic compute scaling, and even more. The team has contributed to the success of SAP HANA Cloud Database significantly with new innovations (holding more than 100 registered or filed patents) and feature delivery in quality.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated software developer to join our team. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to collaborate with a talented group of professionals and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and play a crucial part in building a scalable and high-performing system that seamlessly integrates large-scale data into SAP HANA Cloud Database. Your primary focus will be on processing files stored in cloud object stores. Expectation and Tasks:

As a developer of the team, you will

· Develop features of SAP HANA Cloud Database mainly focusing on large-scale data handling and processing files in cloud object stores

· Write end-to-end and unit testcases to ensure the quality of delivered feature

· Co-work with colleagues in world-wide, including North America, Europe, and Asia regions

· Research leading industrial technologies on large-scale data handling

· Contribute to technological innovation with HANA Cloud

Educations and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields

· Expertise in C++ and Python

· Verbal and written working proficiency in English (intermediate)

· Responsibility, integrity, and teamwork

· Creative thinking, willingness and ability to learn quickly new concepts and technologies

Preferred Qualifications (Plus Factors)

· MS or Ph.D. degree in computer science or related fields

· Good understanding of cloud-native software design architecture and security

· Knowledge of modern database systems including SQL, query processing, and federated query processing

· Knowledge of Data Lakehouse architecture and related open-source projects

· Experience in Kubernetes, Docker

· Experience in hyperscaler object stores
