【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】 Responsible for providing bioinformatics expertise to drug target selection, translational research, patient selection strategy and clinical biomarker analysis for multiple drug discovery and development programs. Develop bioinformatics analysis plans, perform hands-on analyses, and generate reports on internal and external data sets related to Astellas/partner discovery and development programs. Responsibilities also include developing new bioinformatics capabilities to support new modalities and therapeutic focus areas.
【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】 （雇入れ直後） • Leads bioinformatics strategy and develop analysis plans to address asset team’s clinical development questions • Utilizes state of the art bioinformatics methods, internal and external data to address translational questions related to indication selection, patient segmentation, and biomarker identification • Conducts bioinformatics analysis of clinical trial omics data to support POM and patient selection • Supports data ingestion and conducts analysis using translational and biomarker data management platforms • Selects the appropriate data sets and analytical approaches for drug target identification and validation to support drug research • Develops new analysis tools and databases to meet the current and future portfolio needs • Identifies and evaluates external resources (CRO/academic collaborator) to complement internal capabilities

【応募要件 / Qualifications】 ＜必須 / Required＞ • Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, or other biomedical sciences with a minimum of seven years’ experience in applying bioinformatics approaches to drug discovery/development, preferably in a biopharma setting • Strong publication record in peer reviewed journals • Demonstrated experience in cancer genomics and omics data analyses, including experience with developing pipelines for next-generation sequencing data analysis and QC • Strong capability in designing and performing bioinformatics analyses to address translational questions, and to obtain insight on patient segmentation and biomarker selection • Excellent programming skills (including R, Python, SAS) and deep-knowledge for statistical analysis and machine learning • Experience with data visualization using web application such as Shiny/plotly • Experience with highly parallel, clustered, or supercomputing systems. • Complete independence in providing project level bioinformatics support, from planning to execution and reporting. • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and lead in a matrix environment.
＜歓迎 / Preferred＞ • Experience in analyzing single cell sequencing data and proteomics data • Experience in maintaining in-house Laboratory Informatics Management System (LIMS) • Administration experience of clustered-computing systems • Experience with human genetics data and RWD

【給与 / Salary】 ①基本給：当人の経歴・技術・技能等を考慮して決定 ②裁量労働制の場合：裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000～100,000円支給 ③フレックスタイム制の場合：月間の所定労働時間を超えて勤務する時間に対して時間外勤務手当を支給 ①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability. ②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000～100,000yen, based on the Grade) ③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.
