Analyst - Data Science & Analytics

The Gig:

We are seeking a data-driven and results-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data Science & Analytics team at Virgin Voyages. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering actionable insights that enhance the performance of our crew, both onshore and onboard.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to measure, analyze, and optimize processes, driving efficiency while continuously improving the guest experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about data, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to turning complex data into strategic actions that lead to measurable improvements.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:

• Develop and refine data models that drive key business initiatives, focusing on crew performance optimization and operational efficiencies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into strategic actions that lead to improved productivity and overall business effectiveness.

• Design, build, and refine data tools that empower our crew to meet their goals while identifying new opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.

• Support the design of incentive programs through detailed analysis, ensuring that reporting structures for payments are accurate, fair, and timely.

• Analyze and derive insights from survey data to identify trends and actionable opportunities for improving stakeholder satisfaction and engagement.

• Present your findings clearly and impactfully to senior leadership and business partners, helping to shape decision-making and strategy.

• Contribute to the continuous development and optimization of our data warehouse, ensuring it adapts to meet the future needs of the business.

• Build strong, collaborative relationships within the Data Science & Analytics team, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success.

SuperPowers Required:

• 2–4 Years of Experience: Proven hands-on experience in data analytics, ideally within a fast-paced, hospitality or service-based environment.

• Bachelor’s Degree: In a quantitative field such as Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline. MBA, Master’s in Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or certifications in data science are a plus.

• Advanced Data Skills: Proficiency in working with large datasets using tools such as Salesforce, Excel, and point-of-sale systems.

• Data Visualization Expertise: Strong skills in data visualization, with experience using platforms like Tableau, Domo, or Power BI to communicate insights effectively.

• Actionable Insights: Proven ability to transform data into strategic, actionable insights and present them to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Heat Mapping Tools: Experience with heat mapping tools like HotJar or Quantum Metric to analyze user behavior and improve operational processes.

• Hospitality Industry Experience: Experience working in a data analytics role within the hospitality industry, with a focus on enhancing guest and crew experiences a plus.
