As a Senior Technical Curriculum Developer, you will join our Customer Education & Training (CET) team to create exceptional technical learning content for our customers, including the hands-on Datadog Learning Center, virtual workshops, and our certification program. You will write demo code and build supporting environments for hands-on labs used by professionals around the world. You will work closely with both our engineering and product teams to create interactive courses using the technologies Datadog integrates with. You will use your strong technical expertise to create new learning content and improve existing courses for the ever-expanding solutions that we offer.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Partner with our engineering and product teams to produce engaging high quality training courses and content for Datadog’s customer and partner curriculums, including self paced online programs, in-person training, workshops, hands-on labs, and webinars 
  • Evaluate customer training requirements, and turn those requirements into a roadmap with clearly scoped courses that have well defined learning paths
  • Help create, maintain, and improve the technical systems and environments used in hands-on labs by other technical curriculum developers
  • Provide informal mentoring and coaching to more junior team members 
  • Use your expertise in specific domains to build relationships within Datadog, identify opportunities for collaboration, and advocate for new training initiatives
  • Create reports in Metabase (SQL) and other analytics tools for the Customer Education team to provide insights on the performance of the Learning Center and learner engagement
  • Scripting in Python and Bash to build datasets and data use cases for learning content



Who You Are: 

  • You are an experienced technical curriculum developer, data scientist, or devops professional with approximately 6+ years of experience building e-learning curriculum, hands-on cloud infrastructure labs, and instructor-led training material for a data aware audience
  • You have hands-on experience or specialized knowledge and experience in building learning content for practitioners in any role who work with data at scale
  • You have created reports and dashboards for content-based platforms such as websites, content catalogs, or blogs.
  • You have often been the “go-to” person on the team to answer questions and mentor new team members
  • You are familiar with a growing team environment and have been involved in identifying and implementing process improvements and strategy for the team
  • You are able to transform dry data topics into engaging, informative and interesting educational materials

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
