About the role 

The purpose of this role is to produce, analyse, and interpret both customer and marketing campaign data providing actionable insights that drive quality business decisions, optimizing membership program and campaign performance to enhance customer experience. Additionally, the role will identify audiences and provide segments for personalised marketing campaigns aimed at reaching the right customers at the right time via the right channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Insights & Reporting-

  • Evolve membership program reporting, providing ongoing insights on performance and value to the business.  

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer behaviour and value metrics – acquisition, retention, customer lifetime value. 

  • Track JB Hi-Fi Membership program, campaign, and promotional performance. Reporting on conversion rates, sales and profitability.  

  • Provide actionable insights to optimise the membership program, communications and promotions.  

  • Conduct deep dive customer analysis, providing both insights and recommendations on how to deliver greater value from both existing and new customers. 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, extract and manipulate data from various sources, and present findings in a clear and concise manner. 

Customer Data Platform Administration & Data Integrity-

  • Administration of user access and data management of data in marketing platforms i.e. CDP, ESP, etc 

  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to manage integrity of data in platforms. 

  • Ensure data governance requirements are maintained. 

Segmentation Management- 

  • Identify cohorts in which we can improve engagement and increase value.  

  • Create segments within our data and marketing platform for highly targeted and personalised campaigns

About you 

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Degree or post graduate qualifications in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a Customer Insights or Marketing Analytics role. 
  • Advanced level of SQL
  • Strong hands-on experience working with data and applying profiling and exploratory analysis techniques to large data sets  to extract meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to apply visual storytelling techniques to present the key insights inferred by the data.
  • Hands-on experience using and managing Customer Data Platforms (CDP) or similar platforms. 
  • Experience working with internal Data Analytic teams to gain access to and work with centralised data capabilities in support of Marketing and Customer Data Requirements.
  • Strong experience with Data Analytic Platforms and reporting visualisation tools (Power BI).
