The Customer Data & Analytics Team is the centre of excellence for data and analytics, supporting Heathrow’s Customer Team by driving value through innovation in data.  The Customer Team is focused on delivering value for our customers, and by customers we mean passengers, airlines, retail partners and tenants.

  • Managing the relationship with key Customer business stakeholders, to understand their business problems and identify opportunities for use cases to drive insight and value through data.
  • Defining and prioritising the backlog of data products and analytics use cases, based on business objectives and customer feedback.
  • Leading the daily activities of the data team, comprised of data analysts and data engineers, both Heathrow and third parties, to effectively deliver value to the business.  
  • Leading the advanced analysis and data science work within the Customer Data & Analytics team, supporting the wider Customer function.
  • Creating a self-service analysis capability, migrating all reporting to be surfaced in BI to create a Customer Analytics hub – accessible by all the Customer function. 
  • Experience of the tools Databricks and PySpark.
  • Proven experience in data science projects, applying advanced analytics techniques, statistical knowledge, and big data handling skills to support stakeholders’ decision-making.
  • Ability to synthesise large and complex concepts into the fundamentals and demonstrable ability to produce evidence based, accurate and incisive decision making.
  • Demonstrable ability to engage and influence at senior levels internally and externally.
  • Evidence of having driven value through data, from analysis and modelling to visualisation and storytelling in a similar role.
  • Display a true passion for data, analytics, aviation and digital performance.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Working Location

Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
