Sr. Analyst Data Visualization & BI Solutions

At MMGY we inspire people to go places. We have an immediate opening for a Sr. Analyst of Data Visualization and BI Solutions in our Washington, DC office.  We are seeking a highly-skilled, autonomous and motivated senior analyst to champion and oversee the administration, data analysis, and data visualization design for our new MMGY research analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PowerBI, additional experience with Tableau, Qlik, and/or Symphony Analytics is highly desirable. As a senior analyst, you will be collaborating closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and clients to understand specific business needs and objectives to create compelling and relevant visualizations and implement robust data tools. Your work will directly contribute to our client's success by enabling them to leverage our unique and proprietary research data and to reveal insights that guide strategic planning decisions. Responsibilities  Platform Administration 

• Manage and administer MMGY research analytics platform, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security
• Oversee user access, roles, and permissions within the platform
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to maintain platform infrastructure and resolve technical issues

 Data Visualization and Dashboard Creation 

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using PowerBI
• Create visually compelling and informative reports to present data insights to stakeholders, clients, and/or platform subscribers
• Continuously improve and enhance existing dashboards and visualizations for better user experience and insights delivery

 Collaboration and Communication 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including market research, strategic planning, account management, business development, product development, and senior management, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored recommendations and solutions
• Understand internal and external clients’ questions and translate answers into visual reports
• Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the analytics platform

 Continuous Improvement 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and visualization tools
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities
• Explore and recommend new tools and technologies to expand the capabilities of the MMGY market research analytics platform

 Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Experience (1-3 years) with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience (2-3 years) using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to create data
• visualization reports
• Experience (1-3 years) with data extraction and manipulation for BI tools
• Proven experience in managing and administering business intelligence platforms, particularly with PowerBI
• Strong proficiency in data visualization techniques
• Proficient in SQL
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and scripting is a plus
• Basic understanding of market research principles and procedures

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical solutions and ideas to diverse audiences
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

 Preferred Skills 

• Familiarity with the Symphony Analytics platform is highly desirable
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and data manipulation languages
• Experience with data integration and ETL processes
