This job is posted as remote unless the selected candidates lives within 50 miles, then you are required to work hybrid from our Dearborn, MI office

You will:

• Provide Architectural mentorship on resolving capability gaps and addressing new customer requirements. 
• Engage with Product Owners, Product Managers, Technical Anchors and other PDO team SME’s— acting in a consultative capacity to advise, recommend, strategize, and contribute to delivery landmarks.
• Collaborate with other architects and technology delivery team to define architectural approaches and solutions. 
• Shape Ford’s Data & Analytics architecture strategy. 
• Collaborate with Technical Anchors and others to develop and maintain current and future state architecture views and roadmaps.
• Assist in prototyping potential solutions to validate the architecture with team – non-production prove out, assistance with integration of multiple technologies, etc.
• Guide product teams on technology standards at Ford and provide assistance to get new technologies approved.
• Lead architecture discussions for products and platforms across all stages from ideation, design, development, deployment and maintenance.
• Assess business requirements, documentation development requirements with focus on performance, efficiency and cost optimization.
• Develop options for solutions by analyzing / translating desired business capabilities into solution architectures, concepts and models.
• Provide technical analytic/data solutions for applications. 
• Collaborate with product team to conduct technical assessments of internal & external platforms and tools, covering aspects such as service interoperability, infrastructure, scalability, security, availability, data handling, licensing, and global footprint.
• Lead maintenance of architecture artifacts, including architecture working documents and technical architecture diagrams to depict proposed solution & support implementation.
• Collaborate with project teams to document future state, assessing cost, risk, business value of architecture alternatives.
• Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to demonstrate new ideas and showcase the adoption of new technologies.
• Participate in advance level training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills, stay current with industry best practices.
• Employ Architectural knowledge related to AI and ML as well as standard DevOps pipelines to assist with Data Science objectives in terms of developing a democratized and re-usable ML products in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) 
• Stay on top of industry developments in AI and ML solutions, Kubernetes, API strategies and micro-services, streaming platforms such as Kafka, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Solution Architecture with master’s degree or 5 years of work experience with Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of Cloud Experience- Google Cloud Platform preferred; Google Kubernetes Engine, Azure, AWS or similar is acceptable 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on experience with Cloud Run, Data Flow, Cloud SQL, PubSub, Kafka, DataProc, Airflow, Big Query and integrating related GCP services.
• Troubleshooting and debugging applications.
• Experience Solutioning web application using Microservice architecture with backend systems such as springboot/FastAPI and Front ends like Angular/React.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD tools such as Tekton, Terraform, Github Actions, Jenkins.
• Expertise in modern analytics tools and techniques including data discovery, streaming analytics, and related technologies.
• Negotiation skills and ability to work with diverse set of partners / customers.
• Experience with Manufacturing and IIoT data and analytics
• Google Cloud Architect certification.
• Experience with Code Quality and security tools such as SonarQube, CheckMarx, 42 Crunch etc.
• Knowledge of package and container repositories (e.g., Nexus/Portas/Quay). 
• Awareness and implementation of standard DevOps tools such as Git, Tekton, Docker (containerization), CI/CD pipelines. 
• Awareness and implementation of Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies, strategies and supporting infrastructures such as: Lang Chain, Stable Diffusion, Python, Python Notebooks, Tensor flow, Vertex AI, Kubeflow, Kubernetes. 
• Strong leadership, project and team building skills 
• Strong collaborator – willingness to share ideas, documentation, and standard methodologies

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8.
