The Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Regulatory Team is responsible for executing cross Line of Business and Corporate Function multi-disciplinary, multi-year programs to ensure J.P. Morgan meets the requirements of AI Regulation.  The first of these is the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act. 

As the ED in the AI Regulatory PMO within the CDAO, you will be responsible for providing the day-to-day leadership of large scale firmwide regulatory programs working to the Head of the AI Regulatory PMO.  You will run program governance, work with workstream leads to define their deliverables and milestones, hold them to account for delivery and enable their success through provision of PMO support.  You will control program delivery through planning, tracking, and managing execution and key risks and issues.   You will deliver program briefings to working level forums. You will engage with a range of stakeholders who are responsible for program execution to advise, support and guide them in delivering their elements of the programs.  You will provide day-to-day leadership and management of the small PMO team, providing direction and guidance and personal development guidance. 
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Driving day-to-day program execution across multiple workstreams who are working with all Lines of Business and Corporate Functions.
  • Lead the Program Working Group and other governance forums.
  • Stakeholder management across 90+ stakeholders (VP to MD) engaged in the day-to-day execution of the regulatory programs.
  • Lead the program engagement with assigned workstreams.
  • Program planning in collaboration with workstream based on identifying and tracking defined milestones and actions.
  • Inter-workstream dependency management.
  • Manage escalations from the workstreams to the program level.
  • Ownership of assigned risk and issues.
  • Lead the program change management processes.
  • Development of program MIS for governance forums and wider stakeholder. 
  • Day-to-day tasking of the PMO team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent program leadership skills, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders whilst ensuring the wider team are held to account for individual and collective delivery.
  • Motivated self-starter who networks effectively and is tenacious in achieving results.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with leads and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Analytical, good problem solver with critical thinking, supporting rapid decision-making based upon research of the facts and data analysis.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with an ability to work under pressure on multiple deliverables to specific deadlines.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, process driven and able to work systematically.
  • Capable leader and manager of small highly motivated and capable teams.
  • Willingness to tackle problems personally, use initiative and exert influence to achieve objectives.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A Program Manager with a track record of successful delivery of medium to large scale programs is highly desirable. 
  • Experience of working on a firm-wide or regional regulatory program would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of, or an interest in, data management and AI would be beneficial.
  • A PM certification such as APMP would be beneficial.
