We’re looking for an amazing Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to fill this role, which is based in our Fort Lauderdale office. You’ll be responsible for leading the delivery, managing, and operationalizing data solutions pipelines in support of data and analytics use cases using appropriate methodologies, technologies including extract, transform and load of data.  You will have responsibility for leading Data solution design for enterprise data and analytics. In addition, you will provide technical and thought leadership, emerging technology evaluation, and mentorship. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer is also responsible for developing and improving standards and procedures to support quality development, testing, and production support, and you will be responsible for developing analytic and data science models. The role is expected to drive/lead the delivery of one or more data solution components from project inception through its delivery in close collaboration with cross-team members.

Responsibilities

  • Owning projects from the early stages of data access through data engineering and visualization to meet business needs; this includes accessing, analyzing, transforming, and visualizing data from a variety of SQL and NoSQL data sources and delivering downstream to consumers through PowerBI, API’s, Office 365.          3
  • Integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and external systems, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and reliability.           
  • Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to transform raw data into a usable format for analysis and reporting.              
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and provide clean, transformed data for analysis.      
  • Work with multiple relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres; Work with NoSQL databases such as Couchbase; and work with data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake to process and analyze large datasets.       
  • Work with data virtualization technology such as TIBCO and/or Denodo to process data and delivery solutions to end users.    
  • Optimize data processing and storage systems for maximum performance and efficiency     
  • Guide more junior data engineers on technical best practices and ensuring their quality of work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Communicate technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Document data pipelines and data models, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field of data engineering and apply them to improve existing systems and processes.


Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent educational or job experience. 
  • Several years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on designing and building data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, and their optimization techniques.
  • Expertise in big data technologies or data virtualization tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based data technologies (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Lake).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architectures
  • Familiarity with data modelling and data visualization tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

Please note that this position is Hybrid, based in our Fort Lauderdale office. Successful candidate must be within driving distance and able to go into the office 3 days per week.

  • Base Salary Range: $86,500.00 to $116,800.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
