Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participating in research activities intended to improve the performance and broaden the application offerings of UIH MRI scanners.
  • Cultivating emerging MRI techniques and driving its development to achieve clinical and business impact.
  • Leading research projects independently or in collaboration with internal teams and academic and clinical partners. 
  • Developing novel MRI pulse sequences and/or image reconstruction and processing algorithms. 
  • Maintaining UIH’s competitiveness by publishing and filing invention disclosure.

Requirements

Education

  • MS with > 2 years of experience, or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
  • MRI research experience with a proven track record of scientific publications. 
  • Experience in major programming languages such as C++/C, MATLAB and/or Python.
  • Background in medical imaging, artificial intelligence and/or clinical experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in MRI reconstruction and machine learning is preferred.

Required Skills or/ Attributes 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and willing to grow.
  • Desire to learn, ask questions, and be resourceful in identifying innovative applications and creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25%, including short-term international trips.
