Operations Research Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity:

As an Operations Analyst, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced Research Analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. As a leader on our multi-disciplinary team of analysts and data scientists, you’ll lead teams to evaluate data assessment strategies and apply techniques, such as optimization, simulation, machine learning, statistical analysis, and multi-objective decision analysis to deliver solutions and inform senior Department of Defense (DoD) leadership decisions.

You won’t go at it alone, you’ll work with the team to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic and cost data. Once documented, you’ll develop program briefs, documentation, and presentations to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency and inform senior DoD leadership decisions.

In this role, you’ll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.

You Have:  

  • 7+ years of experience in the Military

  • 3+ years of experience applying analytical methodologies, including statistics, optimization, machine learning, and predictive analytics

  • 2+ years of experience in design of experiments or test and evaluation

  • Experience with R and Python 

  • Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop mathematical models to support a variety of client problems.

  • Secret clearance

  • Master’s degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or Industrial Engineering

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
