Join Collins Aerospace as a Data Science & Analytics Engineer to support the Digital Thread initiative. In this role your will develop predictive models and implement machine learning algorithms.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

What YOU will do:

  • Lead the analysis, modeling, and explanation of data to produce analytical results.
  • Create standards, policies, and procedures for the development of analytical results and predictive models. Define and execute useful analyses to solve problems.
  • Optimize the performance of data systems by discovering, cleaning, and utilizing appropriate data from enterprise systems.
  • Create testing and validation methodologies and criteria.
  • Research new technologies and develop business cases to support their use.
  • Identify data trends, generate insights and come to business conclusions.
  • Research and implement machine learning libraries and algorithms for different tasks (supervised/unsupervised learning)
  • Complete statistical analysis to quantify completeness and validity of a data source.
  • Provide support to engineering teams to use the digital thread in root cause investigations.
  • Work with Service groups to learn and gather requirements for analytics/visualization needs.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • Statistical analysis experience with Python/Pyspark

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Database and SQL experience is a plus
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI or Plotly
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience using JIRA/ Confluence
  • Experience with Databricks, AWS S3, GitHub, CAD and PLM Software
