As we continue our pursuit of NPS +30 we need to transform the way we engage with our customers and colleagues.  The Gen AI Domain has been set up to build the tools and capabilities needed within the group tapping into the promise of Generative AI as a key technology to solve those needs.   

This domain will power the creation of Generative AI solutions that will support more personalised experiences for our customers and our people. We must bring a customer first mindset into every decision; every day, whilst taking a holistic change management approach to drive organisational adoption.  

We will enable the broader group to leverage broad Generative AI capabilities through building domain owned platforms and frameworks for use across the bank, such as the Gen.AI Hub.    

We will be incubating new job families required to be able to leverage generative AI, such as Prompt Engineering and AI Knowledge Management as we create new platforms to support this transformation. These new jobs require skills from engineering, business analysis, data science, knowledge management, psychology, sociology and management practice.

As a Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of co-solutioning services for business use cases, and drive adoption rates of Gen AI tools by inspiring others to use them wisely.  

You have some experience in customer advisory or solution architecture roles involving Gen AI, and have the ability to influence strategic solutioning. 

You will be the driving force for Gen AI adoption outcomes, managing a wide range of stakeholders and help them deliver greater customer outcomes. You will be a trusted advisor to teams, providing strategic guidance on accelerating Gen AI adoption and implementation, and collaborate with squads and crews to understand requirements and translate them into effective Gen AI solutions.

We are seeking people who are: 

• Experienced in delivering and managing complex projects which involves managing delivery expectations along with effective communication.
• Able to think creatively and solve problems that are both operational and strategic in nature, using Gen AI tools and cross-functional team collaboration.  
• An engineering background in software development or data engineering or data science.  
• Passionate about leading and driving Gen AI transformation with a human-centered approach, leveraging a powerful combination of technical skills, cross-functional team collaboration and people leadership skills.  
• Customer-obsessed in always asking why and being able to determine the unmet needs of your customers.  
• Experienced in advisory roles providing strategic guidance on Gen AI adoption and implementation.
• Influencers capable of collaborating with cross-functional squads to understand business needs and translate them into effective Gen AI solutions.  
• Adept at leading engineering teams that build and scale distributed systems, tools and frameworks in a public, private or hybrid cloud environment.  
• Enthusiastic about driving responsible Gen AI solutions by challenging technology limitations and deficiencies in the existing systems and associated processes, procedures, and methods.  
• Champions of innovation that stay at the forefront of AI advancements, identifying opportunities to integrate state-of-the-art generative AI solutions to solve business challenges. 
• Strategic leaders capable of developing and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive the adoption of generative AI across the organization. 
• Natural connectors that can build strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain their trust and buy-in to support AI adoption initiatives. 

Tech skills: 

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know all of them. Technical skills completed by your natural leadership attributes will make you successful in the role.  

• Proven experience in AI/ML technologies, with a focus on overlapping skills in generative AI engineering or Data Science
• Strong delivery skills with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams. 
• Excellent product driven mindset with experience in overseeing complex technology initiatives. Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• A proactive, growth mindset, eager to drive change and embrace new challenges. 
• Jira/ Confluence  
• Understanding of Cloud Solution Architecture (AWS + Azure)  
• Understanding of Python / TypeScript / C#   
• Prompt Engineering  
• Understanding of Secure Coding
