We seek a visionary and strategic Senior Director – Data Practice to lead our AI, Data & Analytics team to new heights. You will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our Data practice along with other key leaders. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture for leading global organizations. The profile will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, design data models, and ensure that data is managed efficiently and effectively. The profile will have a deep understanding of data management, database design, and data integration, as well as strong technical skills and experience working with a variety of data platforms and technologies.

This includes leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Modern Data Platforms, AI/ML, generative technologies, and ensuring strong practices in Master Data Governance.  You will work closely with the Applied AI, Data & Analytics team and relevant business stakeholders to define and execute the vision and roadmap for our global clients.

What You Will Do

Strategy and Leadership

• Develop and implement the Data portfolio strategy and roadmap, aligned with strategic goals and objectives.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Data strategy aligned with our business goals and objectives.

• Ownership on growth of the Data CoE and influencing client revenues through Data practice.

• Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities across clients.

• Guide and inspire the organization about the business potential and opportunities around Data.

• Drive Innovation, Differentiation & Growth.

• Influence client revenues through innovative solutions and thought leadership.

• Champion the adoption of innovative technologies (AI/ML, generative technologies) to stay ahead of the curve.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with client teams to understand their business challenges and needs.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

• Network with domain experts.

• Drive partnerships with vendors on collaboration, capability building, go to market strategies, etc.

• Build strong relationships with business leaders across departments to understand their needs and challenges.

Data Management and Governance

• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure that data is managed securely and efficiently.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for data management and security.

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all data sources.

Technical Skills and Implementation

• Lead the selection, deployment, and management of Data tools, platforms, and infrastructure.

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Data solutions.

• Define, differentiate & strategize new Data services/offerings and create reference architecture assets.

• Translate business goals into actionable analytics objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Technical Proficiency

• Knowledge of ETL and data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, and Apache NiFi.

• Experience with data modeling and design tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or ER/Studio.

• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

• Understanding of analytics and machine learning concepts and tools.

• Skilled in using relational database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra. Strong expertise in cloud-based databases such as AWS Redshift and Azure SQL.

• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka to process and analyze large volumes of data.

• Proficient in data integration techniques to combine data from various sources into a centralized location.

• Strong data modelling, data warehousing, and data integration skills.

What is required for the role

• 18+ years of experience in the information technology industry with strong focus on Data engineering, architecture having led, driven and set up an Data practice in IT services or niche organizations

• 10+ years of relevant experience in successfully launching, planning, and executing advanced data projects.

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information systems, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, economics, engineering, or physics.

• Demonstrated the ability to manage data projects and diverse teams.

• Should have experience in creating Data strategies & services, and scale capabilities from a technology, platform, and people standpoint.

• Experience in working on proposals, presales activities, business development and overlooking delivery of Data projects

• Experience in building solutions with Data solutions in any one or more domains – Industrial, Healthcare, Retail, Communication

What Makes You Eligible

• Be willing to travel up to 40%, domestic and international travel.

• This role is eligible to work remotely full-time.
