ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead our data engineering team. This is a people manager role focused on delivering high-quality projects, growing engineers, and helping us grow the team and the engineering organization.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of data engineers to grow and scale our data pipeline, tools, and infrastructure.
  • Partner with our product teams to help guide and shape the roadmap and enable rich data-driven experiences.
  • Work closely with our analytics team to define and own the current and future data model.
  • Set goals for team members, evaluate performance, provide mentorship and facilitate professional development.
  • Drive a high-performance culture within your team that can continuously build, iterate, and learn without sacrificing quality.

We’d love to hear from you if the following describes you:

  • 8+ years of software/data engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of management experience.
  • Experience leading and growing a data engineering team.  Providing mentorship, managing performance, providing feedback, and helping data engineers grow, advance and succeed.
  • Skilled at communication around technical concepts and ideas, particularly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • A deep focus on quality; experience with tools and techniques to ensure any data pipelines are robust and error-free.
  • Consistent performance in delivering high-impact results.
  • Bonus: You have experience with the particular challenges of wrangling healthcare data

 

COMPENSATION:

$230,000 plus equity
