Manchester city centre – hybrid working with minimum one day a month required in the office
We’re looking for a Spatial Data Analyst to join our Strategy, Insight and Programmes team within Property. You’ll join the team in a full-time, permanent role completing your Data Analyst apprenticeship across 18-months in role.
During this time, you’ll allocate around 20% of your working week to studying, learning, and spending time with your course tutor. For the rest of the week, you’ll be in-role, contributing to the team right from the word ‘go’. Although we’ll provide you with time to learn at work, you’ll need to have the necessary commitment and dedication to successfully balance your work and your studies.
As a Spatial Data Analyst, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and analysing data to understand the best locations for our stores and funeral homes, making sure we’re bringing the Co-op to where our member-owners need us. You'll look after large data sets, combining internal and external sources, including demographics, to underpin strategic decisions for the existing and future Co-op estate. What you’ll do:
• Dedicate 20% of your working week to your learning, study, and tutorials
• Attend sessions with your personal skills coach throughout the duration of the programme
• Use data from various internal and external sources to provide insight and inform decision-making
• Maintain, refresh and develop tools used within the Property Strategy, Insight and Programmes team, including data dashboards and forecasting models
• Help drive innovation and efficiencies by continuously improving tools, data and processes
• Manage and maintain datasets, making sure that the team uses the most up-to-date and appropriate data.
• Complete your apprenticeship over the course of 18 months years, gaining a Data Analyst qualification at the end of the programme
This role would suit people who have
• Some experience within a data and reporting role or a background in geography or mathematics
• Achieved grades A*-C or 9-4 equivalent in GCSE Maths and English
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to use advanced formulas and pivot tables
• An analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail
• A passion and commitment for building your career as a Data Analyst
