Job role

 

The Workplace Service department is responsible for the operation of a modern workplace for all employees and partners of the Allianz Group. This includes notebooks, desktops, virtual clients (AVC/VDI), file services, Office 365, mailing, service desk, field services and other products. To achieve an outstanding end user experience, we are in the process of building up a squad focused on data analytics. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely together with various teams in the department to collect and transform data from various sources and apply meaningful data analytics practices with the aim to provide data driven insights & predictions to foster an evidence-based environment. 

 

What you will do

 

•            Transform & enrich data from various data sources to draw a holistic view of service health, possible issues & weak points

•            Using statistical libraries and programming to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets

•            Respond to data-related queries from other WPS product teams & implement them jointly

•            Analyze data and visualize results using Power BI and similar technologies

•            Research new ways to make use of the collected data (e.g., apply AI for pattern recognition)

•            Produce reports and charts communicating trends within data to non-specialists.

•            Support product teams for the root cause & impact analysis during incident and problem management process

•            Ideate data analytics requirements together with other WPS teams with various maturity in the data analytics area

•            Support Data Engineers deploy data transformation python code using cloud technologies

 

What you bring

 

•            Strong interest in data analytics and an appetite for sharing knowledge and experience together with less senior colleagues. 

•            Applying analytical thinking, methodological and conceptual skills to deliver valuable use cases.

•            Ability to work with stakeholders to assess trends & potential risks and perform use case ideation to identify suitable use cases.

•            Be able to lead requirements ideation with stakeholders and understand stakeholder needs

•            Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases

 

You have

 

•            At least 3 years of practical experience within data analytics with hands on experience with python

•            Good understanding of modern software design and development technologies, such as data lake, containers, DevOps and knowledge of cloud services such as Azure, AWS or similar

•            Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

•            Technical expertise, previous experience working with data models, data mining, prediction models, and segmentation techniques.

•            Strong knowledge of and experience with data storage (SQL, cloud storage etc), programming (python, SQL, PySpark etc.) and BI tools (Power BI etc.)

•            Strong knowledge of statistics and applying statistical packages for analysing datasets

•            Good interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as ability to jointly work with multiple groups

•            Hands on experience in creating and deploying analytical dashboard solutions including understanding of design, development, deployment, data engineering and data management practices

•            High English proficiency
