We are seeking a motivated and detail - oriented Engineer 1 to join our dynamic team. In this entry - level position, you will support various engineering projects and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions. 

What You Will Do

• Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
• Assist in design and analysis of engineering systems and components. 
• Conduct research and gather data to support project objectives.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on project tasks and deliverables 
• Prepare technical documentation
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem - solving discussions. 
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. 

What You Must Have

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field.
• Candidate must have a BS degree Mechanical Engineering
• Candidate must have experience in C++ programming
• Candidate must have knowledge in drafting and interpreting technical drawings
• Candidate must have a desire and ability to learn new skills
• Candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Candidate May be required to work 40 hours per week for occasional extended periods
• Candidate must have the ability to obtain a clearance

 

Bonus Points For Having!

• Experience with real-time software development
• Experience with Matlab
• Experience in SOLIDWORKS
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python and Java
• Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
