Role Detail

We are supercharging our focus on experimenting with emerging technologies like GenAI, and we see enormous potential to improve our systems, build the capacity of our people, drive efficiencies and enhance the value we deliver clients.  This new role, with potential to be extended or made permanent, will provide dedicated expertise to deliver the outcomes of the firm’s Generative AI strategy.  This role will join our highly regarded Innovation team.

As AI Product Manager - Innovation, based out of the Sydney or Melbourne office, you will play a key role in the development and integration of AI solutions that will transform the way we deliver legal services.

Reporting to the Head of Digital, working as part of a multidisciplinary project team and especially closely with an AI Change Manager, you will be responsible for managing the AI products in our portfolio, that comprises of internally developed and third-party applications; and orchestrating collaboration between legal professionals, external vendors and internal teams to shape our AI product roadmap to meet the firm’s ambitious goals.

You will cultivate a user-centric philosophy rich in empathy and advocacy, with user feedback and iterative design at its core. You will also serve as an internal champion for AI adoption, educating stakeholders on the benefits and promoting the capabilities of our AI solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

•          Engaging with the business (legal and shared services) to identify and evaluate potential AI use cases and opportunities for business improvement and productivity

•          Collating user feedback to inform our AI feature development roadmap and product selection

•          Conducting user interviews to gather insights and identify user needs

•          Prioritising product features and capabilities based on the value to the user and the business

•          Creating user stories that clearly articulate the desired outcome for the user

•          Augmenting AI into our workflows by analysing and redesigning existing business processes and tasks, while documenting new ways of working

•          Leading workshops, training sessions and AI showcases

•          Ensuring AI governance and compliance of across the firm’s AI product portfolio

About You

With an excellence without arrogance ethos and a passion for the positive impact GenAI can have on the legal industry, you will be a Product Manager looking to bring your expertise to innovative leaders in their field.  You dont need to be the most technical in this space, however you do need the ability to make the complex simple as the conduit. You will also bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Product Management, ideally with a focus on AI or legal technology products
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Experience and enjoyment running workshops and training sessions
  • Proven experience conducting market analysis and user research to inform product decisions
  • Proven success in creating product roadmaps and defining and launching outstanding products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
