This role will be based in Sunnyvale, San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, Omaha, Detroit, or Carpinteria.

As a Senior Insights Analyst, you will leverage one of the richest proprietary data sets in the world to discover and share insights that help our largest customers leverage this intel to inform their sales business strategies.  

Key responsibilities in this role include working closely with our sales and customer success teams to deliver insights to drive customer value and impact on our business.

You will be responsible for partnering with our top strategic sales account directors and customer success managers to identify and analyze key customer objectives and develop analyses that help them to make data-driven decisions on their strategy on how to get the most out of their LinkedIn investment.  

You will also work directly with our largest customers to provide a consultative analysis annually to support their sales/revenue strategies. This role will, therefore, require a strong ability to effectively present your insights to both internal and external customers (non-technical and technical audiences).

You will strive to make the complex simple and confidently articulate insights in a way that drives clarity out of ambiguity. You will be a strong partner, build trust through effective identification and communication of priorities, and proactively seek out and integrate feedback.

You will provide consultative advice to LinkedIn's sales reps, identify solutions that improve efficiency, and drive change management to expand the value we deliver to our customers (internally and externally).

You will be an expert at using SQL to extract data from LinkedIn’s massive data warehouse and turn that data into compelling stories that help our clients become more successful.

You will build strong relationships with your partners, customers, peers and stakeholders through clear communication, proactive collaboration and sharing ideas and best practices. You will be responsible for successfully managing and tracking your time to focus on driving high quality, inspiring analyses that drives action and impact for the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage LinkedIn’s unique data to create actionable insights that continuously improve customer value and scale business impact
  • Provide consultative insights partnership to internal and external customers to deliver analyses that drive action.
  • Drive successful execution of your deliverables through effective identification, tracking and planning of work priorities based on the potential impact for the business
  • Continuously identify and leverage workflows and processes to help drive further productivity and efficiency for you and your teams.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional partners in our technical scaled solutions teams to provide voice of customer and field (sales/customer success) to support our internal and external scaled insights programs and deliverables.
  • Write SQL/Hive/Pig/Python queries to extract necessary data and utilize Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint to analyze the results and present the relevant business insights to clients
  • Develop deep knowledge and understanding of the industry talent trends and objectives of our customers to develop subject matter expertise in the sales industry that can support your customer analyses and presentations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree, with a preference in math, marketing, statistics, economics, or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics and/or consulting role
  • Background in SQL including 3+ years of experience using SQL
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with sales, customer success, marketing/product marketing, and/or sales-related stakeholders
  • 4+ years of experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and communication skills
  • MA/MS degree in math, marketing, statistics, economics or related quantitative field
  • Experience in the technology industry providing actionable insights to customers
  • Experience with Presto, Hadoop (Hive/Pig), Tableau, Python and Git
  • Experience with project management and working cross-functionally with sales teams, customer service, marketing, data services and engineering

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.    

The pay range for this role is $123,000 - $192,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
