We are looking for a Distinguished Production Engineering Leader who is deeply technical, innovative, and a hands-on expert to orchestrate our next-generation production systems. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive the development and optimization of our production processes, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards. Our team consists of skilled engineers and researchers dedicated to building industry-grade solutions that redefine production efficiency and quality. As the leader of this team, you will work on fundamental advances in production engineering methods, enabling us to scale our operations and achieve operational excellence. Your leadership will open new avenues for exploration, foster creativity and discovery, and transform what were once visionary ideas into practical applications. What you will be doing:

  • Contribute and steer next-generation sensor design and selection

  • Contribute and steer next-generation compute hardware design

  • Lead and design next-generation perception & fusion & prediction architecture

  • Bring innovative perception & fusion & prediction research to the product

  • Partner with NVIDIA's applied research and research organization

  • Collaborate with NVIDIA's drive simulation & mapping organization

  • Establish positive relationships and communications with internal partner organizations.

What we need to see:

  • Proven experience (15+ years) in Perception Systems with application to AV, robotics, or similar industry.

  • Deep understanding of sensors and algorithms used in modern Perception Systems

  • Confirmed experience crafting and building Perception Systems from scratch.

  • Experience with calibration of various sensor technologies.

  • Strong understanding of Perception systems.

  • Hands-on experience in debugging hard SW problems.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to strive in a cross-disciplinary environment.

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields or equivalent experience.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experiences as a perception lead

  • Broad experiences in geometric computer vision

  • In-depth experiences in data-driven development

The base salary range is 308,000 USD - 471,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
