As a Product Yield Analysis and Analytics Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., your primary responsibilities will include developing and enhancing our current software ecosystem for defect analysis, as well as creating innovative methods and tools to expand these systems. You will work closely with yield enhancement and product engineering teams, leveraging your expertise in data analytics, software development, machine learning, and engineering problem-solving to build tools that identify defects impacting yield and quality. These tools and methods are essential for improving yield and quality across all Micron products.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with customers of the defect data and tools to determine new methods and tools that enable their success.
  • Designing new methods to detect failures during the semiconductor manufacturing process.
  • Optimizing and leveraging these methods by building tools for use by multiple engineering teams.
  • Identifying opportunities to use existing defect data for yield and reliability improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, yield enhancement engineering, defect analysis, or a similar engineering  field.
  • BS or MS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Software Development, or equivalent degrees.

Specialization in one or more of the following areas:

  • Electrical Engineering Semiconductors
  • Defect Analysis
  • Software Development
  • Machine learning and data science analysis techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to present sophisticated technical ideas and concepts
