The Dataflow Engineer will focus on system operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and specifically managing NiFi dataflows, NiFi cluster management, and some light Python scripting. The candidate will also support system integration, upgrade, and deployment activities. The majority of the time will be spent working with systems that ingest large volumes of data. Responsibilities will include Elastic cluster management and deployment, creating Kibana visualizations and dashboards, and enhancing data analytic solutions.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities

• Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply and maintain software systems.
• Appropriately apply discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, and other relevant topics in: computer science and supporting disciplines to complex software systems.
• Generalize techniques, as appropriate, to apply to multiple domains.
• Develop and provide appropriate documentation and training.
• Present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
• Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience, Master's degree plus 6-years of relevant experience, or Doctoral degree plus 4-years of relevant experience.  An Associate's degree plus 10-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
• Computer Science (CS) degree or related field

Required Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of NiFi is required.
• In-depth understanding of corporate dataflow and knowledge of common dataflow tools such as DX, ElasticSearch, Kibana.
• Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Docker
• Python scripting

Desired Technical Skills

• Knowledge and/or experience with customer's analytic tools
• Kubernetes, Kafka​
