About the Role
The Associate is an integral part of the Finance org and will be responsible for cash management across Pagaya’s corporate entities, investment vehicles daily partner operations, ad hoc data analysis and automations, periodic compliance reporting, and driving special projects. The position will also assist in structured finance & securities and loan transactions across asset classes. This role represents an opportunity to contribute to a growing, publicly-traded fintech company.
The role will primarily focus on financial operations, data analysis, automation, and reporting for Pagaya’s credit funds and securitization shelf. We are looking to add a talented financial professional (with a background in Finance, Treasury, Capital Markets, Corp. Dev).
Responsibilities
- Corporate Finance
- Lead and assist projects and initiatives
- Work closely with Finance team members and assist with projects and tasks across Strategic Finance, Investor Relations, Treasury, and Capital Markets that will directly impact our company-wide priorities.
- Work across various teams to prepare weekly cash forecasts and other cash and borrowing projection models; coordinate with teams to identify and mitigate forecasting variances
- Recommend and implement solutions to strengthen operational controls and incorporate best practices.
- Treasury Operations
- Operational management of securitization transactions and funding
- Treasury responsibilities including cash management strategy and execution, reporting and driving special projects
- Perform transactional reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies
- Support securitization reporting, waterfall review, and P&L review
- Interface with various external securitization deal parties including originators, servicers, buy-side accounts, custodians, rating agencies, among others
- Compliance testing and calculations
- Vendor and Partner management
The role will offer a unique opportunity for candidates with 1-3 years of experience to gain exposure to multiple groups within a rapidly growing tech driven manager with a focus on alternative assets classes. While we are quantitatively driven, this is not a financial engineering role. We are looking for a well-rounded individual who is passionate about finance, operations, securitizations, and technology.
Requirements
- Financial services experience and/or general fixed income/capital markets experience. Experience in treasury and/or investment fund operations
- Strong interest in automation, data analysis and financial operations
- Finance, accounting, economics, or business major
- Strong excel skills (financial modeling, discount cash flow modeling, vlookup, sumifs, macros, and pivot tables)
- SQL and Python experience a plus
- Experience analyzing large data sets
- Structured finance experience preferred
- Prior experience critically reviewing legal documents preferred
The pay ranges for New York-based hires are commensurate with candidate experience.
Pay ranges for candidates working in locations other than New York may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
Compensation Range for New York Based Hires$100,000—$140,000 USDOur Team
