The Opportunity

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.  

 

As Asset Insights Analyst you will contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of dashboards and interactive Power BI reports which serve to improve Asset Cost Risk Performance and Investment Platform.  Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop, update and improve reports that are reliable and actionable to enable Transgrid to optimise the balance of cost, risk, and performance on its network assets.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of existing asset datasets and algorithms.
  • Identify and addresses potential asset data issues. Take initiative to propose and implement effective solutions.
  • Contribute to high quality, reusable, and maintainable solutions for transforming, cleansing, and managing large asset data sets from various sources.

 

Skills & Experience

 

What we expect from you:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in an appropriate discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Solid demonstrated hands-on experience developing reports in Power BI
  • Experience in SQL development for data modelling, and data analytics.
  • Experience with transforming, cleansing, and managing large datasets from various sources.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to independently recognize areas for improvement and suggest actionable steps.

 

Desirable

 

  • PL300 & PL900 Certification
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages
  • Knowledge of the energy and utility sector.
