About the business

 

Zurich Life’s Data & Analytics team is accountable for the full end to end Data delivery lifecycle, from Data Management through to automating processes, implementing Data products and solutions, providing Data insights and solving business and customer problems via the use of Analytics, Machine learning and AI driven solutions.

 

Within the Data & Analytics team, the AI platforms team is responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI Platforms and capabilities. The team works closely with the various business units and stakeholders to deliver AI-enabled solutions, managing the technical environment and ensuring seamless integration into core data platforms. By driving innovation, the team helps deliver valuable AI solutions that enhance business operations and customer outcomes.

As a Senior Technical Data Analyst within the AI Platforms team, you will liaise with critical internal & external stakeholders, conduct complex data requirements gathering sessions, and lead data discovery/analysis activities, translating business needs into data requirements, and to inform the platform’s scope of change for new sources, models, and enrichments.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Take ownership and be able to drive solutions by collaborating with AI Platform owner, product owner, data scientists, data/AI/ML engineers, AI/data/solution architects, and product owners to ensure AI initiative delivers intended business value.
  • Look for continuous improvement and innovation in processes and insights driven by business need and advancements in AI and technology.
  • Identify training needs particularly in the claims arena and partake in training programmes to upskill inhouse staff.

  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of successful delivery. Experience in AI, machine learning or data science projects will be desirable. Experience in Financial Services industry (insurance a bonus) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and technical documentation and capability in communicating these data requirements and solutions.
  • Technical ability to write scripts using SQL, Python to create and drive quality measurements.
  • Familiarity with agile working practices and Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.    
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • An enquiring mind, ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to challenge other people’s thinking, when necessary.
