The Data Analyst will work closely with Senior Insights Analysts and Insights Managers to collect, analyse, and interpret data, driving business decisions and enhancing Optus' growth and customer service. The role involves managing large, complex datasets, supporting the development of reporting and dashboards, and ensuring business partners have timely access to key performance indicators. Multi-functional teams, the Data Analyst will develop data-driven solutions, aligning insights with business needs and contributing to project planning and implementation for data integration in key activities.

Your day to day will consist of...

  • Design and implement reports and dashboards to provide partners with real-time insights on key performance indicators.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns that advise business decisions.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Communicate data insights optimally to company wide relevant teams, ensuring the information is actionable and accessible.

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Tertiary qualifications in STEM disciplines and at least 2 years of experience in data analysis, with foundational proficiency in tools like Excel, Alteryx, and SQL.
  • Expertise in advanced analytical techniques (e.g., regression analysis, clustering) and proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, as well as programming languages like Python or R.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, big data platforms, and data governance, with an understanding of data privacy, security, and ethical considerations.
  • Solid project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver actionable insights to technical and non-technical business partners.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, with superb communication and collaboration skills, and familiarity with Agile and project management methodologies.
