The Actuarial Analyst II is responsible for evaluating insurance pricing for rate adequacy and competitiveness, developing estimates of the impact of updates to company products and procedures, and analyzing the effectiveness and profitability of insurance rating structures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Review, verify and analyze insurance data.
· Perform actuarial analysis necessary to prepare a variety of exhibits (including rate indications, territorial base rate analysis, competitor rate comparisons, exposure reports, and any other exhibits necessary for state filings).
· Research competitor filings and serve as a subject matter expert on rating procedures for various insurance programs.
· Coordinate with Systems to ensure that products are implemented correctly and in a timely manner.
· Extract data from various databases to prepare required exhibits.
· Review industry publications and monitor pending legislation and regulations to determine the impact of new developments on company insurance products.
· Prepare miscellaneous reports to aid in monitoring the performance of products, producers, and other key elements of insurance profitable growth.
· Conduct Multivariate Analysis of pricing variables to determine the appropriate level of pricing for new and existing pricing variables.

Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics or related technical field with demonstrated rigorous mathematical course work required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience, including experience with Excel, SQL, Access, and Word required.
Previous experience with R, Python, SAS or similar statistical programming languages preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
Passing credit for three plus (3+) Actuarial Exams required.
