Description


In this senior leadership role, you will be pivotal in aligning ML Systems Evaluation Engineering team priorities and methodologies and ensuring the optimal execution of evaluation and testing for AIML products and components. Our goal is to deliver offline automated evaluation insights that drive models, product development, and improvements while upholding the privacy standards that Apple is known for. With the advent of Apple Intelligence, we are facing novel challenges in developing representative datasets and simulations for delivering highly personalized user experiences. You will provide strategic oversight, be a key liaison for our partners, and optimize team performance while driving a culture of innovation and improvement. You will also have oversight and communications for release qualification readiness for all client milestones to ensure we maintain high-quality standards while fostering accountability and transparency. As the senior team leader, you will cultivate collaboration with your peers and partners across AIML and Apple. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and taking state-of-the-art evaluation solutions to Apple partners while learning from them.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles
  • Proven and consistent track record of forming senior partnerships to solve complex technical problems at scale
  • MS in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Passion for product and customer experience
  • Data-driven mindset
  • Shown aptitude for leading a breadth of product areas simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and familiarity with AI testing methodologies, data validation, and model performance metrics
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and tools (like Jenkins, AWS) and continuous integration pipelines
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, influence decision-making, and drive projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SVP-level presentations and reporting


Pay & Benefits


  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
