Role Purpose:
The incumbent of the role will support initiatives for Procurement and Supply Chain teams at Global level as well as communication and deployment across all Lonza sites. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives across global processes, tools and systems; using innovative and trending solutions.
Research and provide timely, accurate solutions & market analytics to the Procurement and Supply Chain teams. Support definition of the digital needs and priorities in cooperation with the corresponding teams and key stakeholders. Support the implementation of new advanced digital technologies enabling more efficient and effective ways of working as well as increasing automation and simplification. By providing insights, benchmarking and external intelligence, play an important role in driving continuous improvement within their area and enabling the function to become world-class.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support consolidation of Global Procurement and Supply Chain data to bring accuracy and transparency of processes such as spend analytics, Procurement and Supply Chain savings realization, demand forecasting, warehouse management, among others; across all Lonza sites.
- Support completion of relevant Procurement and Supply Chain analytics to help drive efficiencies and support key Lonza stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Global Procurement and Supply Chain procedures and guidelines (incl. SOP’s, policies...)
- Identify and engage with internal stakeholders, within Procurement and Supply Chain teams, as well as Corporate Functions. Manage communications especially when implementing changes.
- Participate in global projects to either implement or enhance systems and processes across the whole Procurement and Supply Chain organizations and ensure full accountability in the overall achievement.
- Perform data validation and testing phases, before promoting solutions to Production/Live environments
Key requirements:
- Must have analytical skills and an understanding of system databases, data elements, and application software solutions to maximize data gathering and data analysis.
- Understanding or experience of current trends in “Big Data”, “Cognitive Computing” and Machine learning algorithms.
- Business and financial acumen, IT literate, data analytical skills, SAP (ERP, BW, Lumira), Power BI.
- Technical expertise in analytical programming languages like R & Python and hands on experience on data mining/statistical tools like SAS, XLMiner and MatLab.
- Preferably versed in Procurement and Supply Chain processes.
