Job Description Summary

The Data Governance Manager will be part of the wider Services Analytics team, which is responsible for delivery of all data analytics and governance in support of GOS service lines and GOS clients. The Data Governance Manager is responsible for supporting the data governance program, data management responsibilities, and data quality management for the global services analytics platform. The responsibilities include managing a team of analysts to perform data mapping, data profiling, data testing and other tasks related to data governance and continuous development of the global services analytics product.

Job Description

Deliver on Data Governance and Data Quality in partnership with the Global Data Governance Lead –
• Deliver on the data governance implementation roadmap for the global services analytics platform
• Develop and implement comprehensive Data Governance framework, policies, and procedures
• Support the deployment of a Data Governance platform/data catalog and Data Quality engine
• Work closely with data domain owners and members of the Data Governance Office/Working Group to support implementation of data governance
• Lead metadata management activities to ensure data dictionaries and glossaries are up-to-date, data assets are fully curated and accessible in a data catalog or data governance platform, data lineage and business rules are documented and properly defined
• Coordinate with business units and technology teams to ensure alignment and adherence to data governance principles.
• Develop and implement data quality strategies to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets.
• Develop tools or automated solutions where needed to support data management activities.
• Identify and assess data-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Define and monitor data governance metrics and data quality metrics.
• Define and enforce data standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Oversee data stewardship activities, including data issue resolution, data lineage, and data ownership assignments.
• Lead data mapping initiatives to ensure new integrations from additional source systems meet requirements of the data model.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data governance initiatives and ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Lead a team of Data Analysts/Test Analysts to test data loads, data pipelines, and changes to database schema and common data models for new integrations and product releases
• Lead a team of Data Analysts/Test Analysts in bug and issue resolution for data escalations for the services analytics platform
• Advise on services analytics dashboard design and business logic/rules from a data model perspective
• Collaborate with BI development team and product owner to conduct regular reviews of the data model to streamline or optimize where applicable
• Support ad hoc data loads and data initiatives as needed for maintenance and continuous development of the services analytics platform
• Partner with BI development team and product owner to help support dashboard development through impact analysis and data requirements gathering
• Provide on-going leadership, coaching, and mentoring for team members
• Implement a strong culture of support and development for purposes of talent retention
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a degree with relevant disciplines such as information management, mathematics/statistics, business information systems
• 5+ years professional experience as a manager
• Strong experience with data analyst or data management activities
• Experience leading data quality or data governance initiatives
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Queries / SQL Server Management Studio
• Experience in Alteryx, Python, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Databricks
• Experience in business analytics or data visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
• Experience working with commercial real estate data is a plus
