The Health Plan Quality Improvement Solutions team is looking for a talented Healthcare Data Specialist who understands how to use data to tell a story to non-technical audiences using business intelligence tools and presentations. In this fully remote role, you’ll participate in quality improvement conversations with business partners across the company and provide data-driven insights that improve the health outcomes and satisfaction of our Medicaid members in Tennessee.

Experience with SQL (ex: SAS programming, SSRS, other SQL tools) and dashboard development (ex:  Tableau, Microsoft Power Bi) is required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the corporation to support department, division and BCBST corporate goals and objectives
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines among multiple concurrent projects, project teams, and or management staff
  • Partner with internal customers to define business needs, issues, and translate ideas into effective strategies and action plans for various types of business owners across the company
  • Develop metrics, execute research designs and reports using business rules and requirements provided by business owners

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Master's Degree with 2+ years of work experience

Experience

  • 4 years - Experience in analytics, reporting and data utilizing industry-standard tools

Skills\Certifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of basic statistics and algebra required
