Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Engineer to join our team. The position is remote with the possibility of occasional client site travel that will differ from engagement to engagement, but is expected to be 10% or less.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review, analyze, and interpret legacy SAS code.
  • Provide design specifications for migrating SAS code to Informatica PowerCenter code.
  • Use Informatica PowerCenter to build, test, and maintain product modules, components, and subsystems.
  • Research and integrate design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into product capabilities.
  • Develop technical designs and specifications for complex data pipelines/data flows for customer/customers.
  • Identify data quality issues and potential remediations for consideration by PM and/or customer.
  • Identify data gaps and potential remediation or integration activity for consideration by PM and/or customer.
  • Create quality deliverables for customers
  • Drive full life cycle of services/solution delivery for project(s)
  • Provide technical leadership to lower-level engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years’ performing data engineering tasks, such as ETL design and development, data cleansing, and data pipeline maintenance
  • 4+ years’ experience with SAS (www.sas.com) software package and expert ability to read and understand SAS code
  • Experience with public sector clients
  • Experience working for a consulting firm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter design and development
  • An AWS certification

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US citizenship with a Secret level clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel (10% or less).
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is 111,400.00-185,700.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
