Position Type: Contract-to-Hire
Location: Plantation, FL (Hybrid)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manager of Data and Analytics to support our Revenue Management and Finance team. This role is pivotal in delivering insights that directly impact our business decisions and revenue strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, advanced data skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Most importantly, this role will be able to “get ship done” and drive work from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will play a key part in delivering actionable insights that enhance the performance of revenue and commercial teams
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue improvement.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop comprehensive analytics solutions that provide actionable insights.
- Create, maintain, and refine dashboards, visualizations, and automated reporting processes using tools such as Tableau.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in revenue data and analytics, ensuring consistency and accuracy of all reporting outputs.
- Design and implement robust data models to support ongoing and ad-hoc analysis
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Finance to share insights and align on revenue strategies.
- Bring a “get it done” mentality to drive initiatives from beginning to end. This role should be able to manage work from inception to completion, and work with others to solve roadblocks and meet timelines.
- This resources will report to the Direct of Data and Analytics (Revenue Management), and may manage 1-2 junior data / BI analysts
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6+ years of proven hands-on experience in data analytics, revenue management, pricing strategy, or accounting/FP&A ideally within a hospitality, travel, or service-based environment. Background in consulting or project-based work strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, FP&A, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert-level skills in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, with the ability to create compelling dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling using tools such Python is a plus
- Data-Driven Storytelling: Proven ability to translate complex data sets into clear and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project Management: Experience managing projects from ideation to execution, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in cruise, travel, or hospitality sectors is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
