Data Analyst, Junior

Description

Prevailance is seeking an experienced, mission-focused professional to be a Data Analyst, Junior.

Tasking will include, but not limited to:

• Contribute to the activities of the Political Military – Assisted Decision-Making Team
• Possess knowledge of Data models. Evaluates the outcomes, veracity, and performance of data models
• Engages with the target user to prototype and refine human computer interfaces to optimize visualization of the relationships between different data entities
• Specifies and applies appropriate techniques to clean and properly format data for use
• Reviews the benefits and value of techniques and tools and recommends improvements for cleansing and reformatting data
• Define/ refine unit operational, capability, and regulatory requirements
• Develop concepts of operations, working with subject matter experts
• Construct data strategies in line with the owning organization’s approach to collecting, storing, and analyzing data
• Remain current with new developments in data science and AI to bring innovative ideas into implementation
• Travel to meetings and conferences within and outside NATO’s boundaries for up to 30 days per year
• Perform additional duties as required within scope of labor category

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years work experience, in the field of Data Science, Data Analyst or similar role
• Two or more years working knowledge in military/joint requirements management tools
• Two or more years working knowledge in military/joint Capability Development and Management processes
• Experience involving the support to data focused operations
• At least 1 of the following skills:

o Machine Learning (ML) knowledge

o Artificial Intelligence (AI) knowledge

o Large Language Models

• Working knowledge of Computer System of Systems Architectures
• Experience with data science tools to support data analytics and data visualization
• Experience in Project Management and Agile methodologies
• Program Management experience within a complex and dynamic program environment
• US Citizen

Desirable Qualifications

• Possess a familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the military rank and grade structure
• Possess a knowledge of military terminology

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Data or Computer Science
