Welcome to Audiological Solutions
You will be part of a small Data Insights team in the Audiological Solutions Group. The team is a part of the Audiological Solutions group, a part of the R&D unit Device software. This group is responsible for innovating and designing all audiological solutions of our hearing aid products. 

 

The team assists to maintain our data infrastructure, in collaboration with similar teams in other parts of the organization and prepares data to be used in development of audiological features for Oticon’s Hearing Instrument portfolio being sold world-wide. The team also supports in data analysis and training for the developers who are designing the algorithms we use in the signal processing of our hearing instruments.

We are organized according to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). No worries if you’re unfamiliar with SAFe—our training program will get you up to speed. You’ll join a scrum team with a dedicated Product Owner and Scrum Master, working with multiple stakeholders across several scrum teams, organized in an Agile Release Train.

Taking our data handling to the next level
You will have a key role in elevating our data handling and analysis to the next level. You will be lead developer in growing our data infrastructure and the team. We are looking for someone who enjoys and can take a technical leadership role, can support our vision and guide us in how we can get there. Our vision is to improve the Hearing Instrument experience through audiology based on data driven insights and features.

 

We work on data from different data sources with varying quality and complexity, so if cleaning data, structuring data for easy data usage or writing functions that enables us to "unpack" data from complex structures is something you enjoy doing, then this is really a good and exciting opportunity for you” says Caroline

 

In this role you will be bridge between data and audiological development and ensure that our audiological development teams have access to relevant data of a quality suitable for development purposes. This could mean:

  • Train developers in accessing and using our data
  • Work with your product owner and team to identify potential opportunities for data driven development in audiology
  • Work with your product owner, as a lead developer, on a strategic level to determine how best to grow and develop the team and data driven development in audiology

 

You will also work with other data teams to continuously maintain the data platform, and look for ways to improve the quality of the relevant data, and ensure a pipeline structure with unit testing of code, data quality monitoring etc.

Engineer with an analytical mindset
You have degree in Engineering with a background in data engineering, data science, machine learning or similar. If you haven’t already worked with audiological systems, then you should have a keen interest in going in this direction.

 

You bring an analytical mindset, are skilled at working with complex datasets, and have a deep understanding of Python (using libraries such as PySpark and Pandas) and SQL/SparkSQL. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), GIT, and PowerBI is also essential.
