Position Title: Data Analytics Audit Officer

Job Summary:
 

• Responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Computer- Assisted Audit Tools and Techniques (CAATTs) for IAG by utilizing available data to achieve audit objectives of IA Units, improve audit sampling techniques, enables continuous auditing, and supplement the audit procedures and evaluations of internal controls.

Role Exposure:
 

• Performs initial assessment, in coordination with the ADAD Head, of the CAATTs requests received from IAG Division.
• Identifies CAATTs for development and/or enhancement, in coordination with ADAD Head and other Divisions within IAG.
• Prepares and maintains an inventory and repository of all documentations of developed CAATTs, including CAATTs scripts and projects.
• Executes CAATTs for ad-hoc requests, or as deemed necessary, and documents in working papers the results of verification.
• Coordinates with the concerned IAG department to incorporate use of CAATTs in the execution of the audit procedures; provides suggestion to ADAD Head to continuously improve efficiency of audit procedures particularly thru data analytics.
• Prepares the draft report, as applicable for endorsement to the ADAD Head.
• Coordinates with the system owners and/or data custodians to gain access to Bank application systems or data, and assesses if deemed useful (i.e., quality) in the performance of data analytics and continuous audit.
• Conducts trainings for auditors to maximize the use of existing audit tools and techniques.
• Coordinates with ADAD Head any noted issues that may require further review and evaluation.
• Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time, but not limited to:
  • Collaborates with other IAG Units to ensure effective integration of efforts and objectives.
  • Assists in the updating of IA Manual, preparation annual business plan and year-end report.
  • Assists in the preparation of requirement and in addressing the observations and recommendations of BSP, external auditors and quality assessors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Statistics or Applied Math
• More than 5 years of experience in audit data and analytics from bank and audit firm industry
• Strong in management reporting and analysis
• CPA is an advantage
