LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider which makes financial data accessible to its customers. When source financial data is found in a narrative, unstructured text format, it is required to extract and convert the relevant information found in it in a structured, accessible format. This process includes NLP (Natural Language Processing, a branch of Machine Learning) and sometimes manual effort by SME's.
In the exciting Content Amplify project we take ML to the next level by boosting the human-in-the-loop efforts such that our ML models and the human guides can learn from each other in an iterative process. This includes ML-Ops and innovative cloud technologies, which is incredible!
The project results ensure that the value delivered to our customer is growing over time in both scope and quality, and is available faster than ever.
This role will work as part of a scrum team, collaborating with business analysts and developers. The responsibility is to design and execute test cases, writing automation test scripts, implement performance testing, for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Experience required:

At least 5-8 years experience in writing automation using Java (API/backend testing)

Performance testing experience (JMeter)

Experience with using and automatic testing of Amazon AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, S3)

At least 3 years experience in managing of QA process in a scrum team, including full flow of the testing cycle:

tests planning, execution, results analysis, reporting, test coverage analysis

integration testing with up/down streams

release testing – planning and execution

Production monitoring and Production issues investigation

Experience working with complex system architecture, ability to investigate and troubleshoot a complex system

In depth technical expertise, knowledge of technologies and design, development, and implementation of design

Technical knowledge of tools and trends within industry

Good understanding of CICD and Git (source code repository)

Readiness to combine manual and automatic testing

Advantage:

BDD approach in automation

Automatic monitoring of AWS resources and performance metrics

Knowledge of CloudWatch API and methods of metrics gathering

Autoscaling testing experience

TestRail

Key responsibilities:

Lead functional/non-functional testing end to end integration

Set clear automation goal and drive automation implementation

Collaborate with Solution Architect, BA for the Non-functional requirements and set the performance testing plan

Follow best practices and QA methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle from define to build

Understand the business use cases and carry out testing to ensure top quality of delivered solutions

Understand and analyse the Requirement Specifications and design test scenarios

Review and analyse completeness of test coverage

Carry out Functional testing and Non-functional testing. Perform hands-on work on a project, same as other team members

Solve technical issues and challenges in testing work

Run Test Scripts, Defect tracking in applicable tool, Status Reporting, Defect Reporting

Drive continuous improvement from quality perspective

Lead and document release testing and post deployment tests in PPE/Production

Supervise the system in Production and PPE environments, investigate Production issues

Responsible for communicating the status of ongoing work to customers accurately

Provide mentorship to junior staff as needed

Responsibility for the quality of tested and released systems.
