Our team of 40+ that works with other teams across the bank to understand the bank’s data value chain. To support our unique functions and regulatory needs, our team stores, curates, and exposes big data. This enables us to master the end-to-end journey of our big data, as well as our modelling and analytic products. As a Data Scientist, you will be working on the top-priority project, which introduces a remediation approach related to the Bank’s debt collection and hence has a massive impact on Danske’s risk management.

You will be joining an international team located between Copenhagen and Vilnius. Therefore, solid English skills are a necessity for this role.

Please note that this is a fixed-term contract for maternity cover. Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (our team is currently using a hybrid working model, where we work at least 3 days a week in the office.).

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a different seniority for the role.

You will:

  • Work with data analysis and development of deterministic models for our debt collection remediation solutions
  • Integrate, explore, and aggregate the data. This includes data cleaning, data massage, error removal, and schema change
  • Attend and contribute to strategy alignment meetings across different teams
  • Dive deep into complex data issues using SQL and Python, performing investigative and risk analysis
  • Utilize git for version control to systematically develop, update, and maintain data models
  • Create detailed documentation and develop presentations to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively. Your ability to articulate complex data insights verbally, in writing, and visually should be advanced

About you:

  • Higher education within mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics, physics, or similar
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or engineering field
  • Experience in handling large amounts of data and fluency in Python, R, SQL, PySpark, etc.
  • Have an analytical mindset and a fact-based approach
  • Hands-on with git and coding best practices
  • A curious individual with great problem-solving skills and the ability to keep result-oriented holistic view
  • Upper-Intermediate English skills

We offer:

This position can be located both in Lithuania and Denmark. If you are hired in Lithuania, the applicable salary range will be from 3280 to 4920 EUR monthly (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
