Position Overview

This position will be based in San Diego, CA

This Marketing Analytics Intern position will support the Precision Oncology marketing organization. In addition to the stated duties, this position will also be responsible for supporting the PO Commercial Analytics team by applying advanced data analysis, multi-touch attribution modeling, and marketing mix modeling to enhance campaign performance and provider engagement in oncology diagnostics

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze campaign performance using Python programming and statistical methods to evaluate engagement, conversion, and ROI KPIs.
  • Develop and apply multi-touch attribution models to measure the impact of various marketing touchpoints on HCP engagement and test adoption.
  • Support the creation of a marketing mix model to assess the effectiveness of different marketing channels and recommend resource allocation strategies.
  • Identify high-potential HCPs by using advanced segmentation models and refining targeting strategies based on order volume and geographic performance.
  • Build predictive models using Python to forecast future campaign success and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in developing Tableau dashboards to visualize key marketing metrics, multi-touch attribution results, and marketing mix insights for key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and commercial analytics, to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Display excellent communication skills to convey data findings and strategic recommendations to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Incorporate strong attention to detail when working with datasets, ensuring data accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Exercise the ability to work independently and in a team environment, showing initiative and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.

  • Ability to use a telephone through a headset.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program, preferably in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or an MBA with a focus on marketing.
  • Prior internship or project experience in marketing analytics, data science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • SQL proficiency for querying and analyzing datasets.
  • Python programming skills, with experience in data analysis, modeling, and statistical techniques.
  • Data visualization experience, preferably using Tableau or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of multi-touch attribution and marketing mix modeling (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data and reports.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and performance metrics, such as engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel (for data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting), PowerPoint(for creating presentations), Word (for documentation), Outlook (for communication and calendar management), and SharePoint (for collaboration and document sharing).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with multi-touch attribution and marketing mix modeling techniques.
  • Previous internship or project experience in marketing analytics, data science, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and predictive analytics in marketing.
  • Understanding of SQL and Python for querying and building models.
  • Healthcare marketing experience or exposure to the oncology or diagnostics sector is a plus.
  • Interest in data science and its application in marketing strategies.

Salary Range:

$37,000.00 - $59,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - CA - San Diego on a full-time basis.
