Project & Change Management

  • Take part in the RAFM change management process to ensure that all project and operational changes are adequately risk assessed and approved prior to going into production.
  • Participate in cross-functional RAFM change management forums that are required to manage change across the organization, including all business units and provide guidelines/recommendations to minimize revenue leakage
  • Participate in new and existing projects, advising on control and process related matters to effectively manage risk and improve on control and process effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work with project teams to define test strategies to ensure that RAFM requirements are incorporated into product and systems designs and ensure that testing has been adequately executed prior to approving changes.

 

Operational Effectiveness

  • Propose new and innovative methods and models of working within the RAFM operations teams that will improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Design, update and maintain knowledge base of RAFM policies, procedures and processes ensuring these are maintained and utilized effectively by all operations teams.
  • Incorporate MTN Group documentation standards and templates, and where necessary design these standards, for the documentation of RAFM policies, procedures and processes, and ensure that these are documented according to agreed standards.

 

Controls & Processes Effectiveness

  • Co-ordinate RAFM risk assessment and business requirements analysis of organization (taken from the mission statement)
  • Assess secondary control environment and make proposals to ensure it is robust and comprehensive to ensure an effective management of risk.
  • Design Primary and Secondary Controls
  • Identify control & process gaps and weaknesses through regular reviews across all business processes and propose corrective actions
  • Facilitate improvements to the primary control environment in all business units, by highlighting the value of primary controls and working with primary control owners to enhance controls.
  • Propose alternative approaches for process improvements in terms of revenue leakage risk management whilst considering commercial and business constraints.
  • Periodically report on RAFM Control & Process coverage and effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.

Data Quality Assurance, Governance, Security and Audit:

  • Assist Controls & Processes Manager in preparation of Risk Registers, Risk Response Plan, internal/external Audit Findings Follow-up to ensure compliance is achieved at an optimal cost/benefit for MTN
  • Gather the RAFM Teams inputs into both internal and external audits
  • Prepare reports on outstanding governance issues relating to RAFM.
  • Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to prevent errors and discrepancies. Establish data governance policies and procedures to manage data security, access, and compliance
  • Ensure data security and compliance with data protection regulations

 

Communication

  • Enthusiastically promote RAFM to influence customers and stakeholders across all business units through preparation of Awareness and Surveys campaigns.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders impacted by RAFM activity

 

Customer Satisfaction

  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with all customers and stakeholders, interacting with all BU’s, obtaining information as appropriate and ensuring that all queries are responded to quickly and effectively.
  • Educate stakeholders on the role of RAFM and ways in which they can contribute and add value.

Education:

Minimum of First Degree 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT/GRC; 
  • Experience in supervising others is an advantage 
  • Experience working in a medium organization 
  • Experience working with SQL and Python is an advantage
