We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Analytics and AI Specialist to join our Workforce Benefits team in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site, hybrid, or 100% remote (depending on location).

Our new Workforce Benefits Division seeks to disrupt the group benefits market with a digital first strategy. As a Senior Analytics and AI Specialist you will play a key role in the start-up and long-term success of this business by developing and pricing new leading-edge group benefits products. You will fill a new role that sits on a lean team of Analytics professionals in the Workforce Benefits Division.

Position Overview

The Senior Analytics and AI Specialist will support our Analytics efforts and will play a key role in our growth and long-term success by leading and managing analytics projects from inception to completion. This role requires a mix of analytical, business, and technical acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.  You will work closely with corporate teams to utilize AI infrastructure, partner with technology to integrate Analytics solutions into business tools and collaborate across divisions to ensure alignment and integration of AI initiatives.

How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Lead and manage Analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • Utilize AI techniques to create innovative solutions and insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Work with technology teams to integrate Analytics and AI solutions into products, services
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members such as interns and rotational program participants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings effectively.

The experience you bring:

  • Strong expertise in Advanced Analytics, Data Science and AI including experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras), statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining.
  • Experience in the Workforce Benefits or Insurance business is highly desirable especially in Underwriting, Enrollment, Claims, Benefits Operations and\or Sales.
  • Generative AI \ LLM expertise (e.g. Open AI and AWS Bedrock)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in a relevant role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Prior experience in developing knowledge extraction, conversational agents, virtual assistants, or autonomous systems.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$131,040.00 - $160,160.00
